1. Flick the dollar with the hand not holding the coin.
2. Switch hands with the coin as in Photo 2 and 3.

| MGamer 20th May 08 | I remember this! This trick gets everyone off gaurd if you know how to work the crowd. Just keep everyone in front of you, and a good presentation. Maybe getting a story going to hype the performance? Or maybe when you need some more money? It's your magic so make up a cleaver idea! | |
| Kevmaster 20th May 08 | I have used this many times in the past, almost forgot about it. Thanks for posting it. It is indeed a great trick. | |
| lewismoore 21st May 08 | One of the first tricks I ever learnt and a great classic. As you submitted it though, it would have been nice to have been given some of your patter or presentation to distinguish it as YOUR trick. | |
| barry2277 6th Aug 08 | I love this trick! Its an offbeat trick that catches everyone offgaurd. I use this when I'm buying something and I need a coin, but I have a dollar. I make the coin appear out of the dollar, and I always get good reactions! | |
| lothsun 3rd Sep 08 | I use this trick regulary. Its a great trick and always gets people. These tricks are very simple and easy to preform. Any magician can do this trick wether your an expert or just a beginner. | |
| andykazam 15th Sep 08 | I find that using a 10p (I'm english :D) you can actually hide it behind your thumb in the starting position as opposed to just flciking the note. People won't notice it against the background of a 10GBP or 5GBP note. Then you can show both sides and then switch the coin etc. | |
| coreyhammer 13th Oct 08 | I just did the trick on two of my coworkers. I started off a little different. I'd finger palmed a quarter at the same time I grabbed a dollar bill from my pocket and used that hand to let my coworkers examine the bill. When I got the dollar back, I used a corner to obscure my pinkie and ring finger to release the coin and catch it with my thumb. I proceeded from there as described. It took me all of 5 minutes of practice to do this trick and it amazed my coworkers. | |
| Shahmir 12th Dec 08 | Wearing long sleeves can help. You can hide the coin under your sleeve and show the spectator that your hands are empty. Then give the spectator the bill to examin it and get the coin back in your hand. | |
| werr 20th Jan 09 | It would be better if you find a way to show the bill from bouth sides | |
| MacGyverMagic 9th May 09 | I agree with lewismoore that some suggestions for patter would've made this a better submission. It's kind of on the short side. I used to do this with two playing cards, but I think this handling is superior and I think creating patter is made easier with this because appearing coins from a bill is a lot easier to explain in a nice story. | |
| SG1man 2nd Aug 09 | simple, but neat. I'll have to try this one on my friends. | |
| dilligan 9th Aug 10 | i never thought this trick was that great. but based on these comments, maybe i should try it on a spectator | |
| GimmickPro 16th Jun 11 | great to build up the act! Maybe if you use their dollar bill and give them the note AND the coin maybe they'll trust you more with magic tricks using their money. :) | |
| vicki358 16th Jun 11 | Dude, I thought this was going to be a old, classic trick, but it is amazing. I found a way to get it that you can show both sides. I can't wait for my mom to come, and she'll freak! | |
| bdude1990 28th Aug 11 | I fold it upend hand it to a spectator and tell them to grab and corner and flick the dollar bill open so the coin flies out of it so that they can feel like they did all of the magic. | |
